Maldon Fields is beautifully positioned within the Essex countryside with long views across the neighbouring woods and fields, over to the waters of Maldon.
Ashes can be scattered within our spacious grounds with families able to draw on the comfort of their surrounds.
A range of living memorials including trees, shrub beds and family gardens are available for those who want a private, dedicated spot.
Garden Trees
A memorial tree with granite sett surround.
There are a limited number of fruit trees which have been newly planted to offer an individual living memorial. Ashes can be buried alongside and accompanied by a choice of small cremation memorials. (see small cremation memorial section).
Garden Trees are set apart by a circular border of granite setts which mark the private area around the tree.
These trees are available in our Orchard Garden or alongside our feature pond.
Countryside Trees
Set within the natural beauty of our wider grounds, our countryside tree memorials offer a peaceful and informal way to remember your loved one. These memorial trees blend harmoniously into the surrounding landscape, creating a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere.
Each tree can be accompanied by a small plaque alongside, allowing you a personal and meaningful tribute. Ashes can also be respectfully buried or scattered alongside your chosen tree.
To maintain the serene and natural appearance of the area, these memorial trees do not feature granite sett surrounds, ensuring that the environment remains calm, inviting, and naturally beautiful.
Family Gardens
Our Family Gardens offer a personal, tranquil space to lovingly remember your family members together. Available in two sizes—Standard (approximately 3 feet in diameter) and Large (approximately 4 feet in diameter) — these private planted beds provide an intimate setting marked by a tidy granite sett border. Within each Family Garden plot, ashes can be buried and a variety of small cremation memorials are available to complement these personal spaces.
Families are able to customise these plots by planting smaller shrubs and flowers, creating a uniquely personal and meaningful garden. Maintaining and nurturing these gardens allows families to express their ongoing love and care, creating a lasting tribute to those they cherish.
Communal Shrub Beds
Our Community Shrub Bed provides a simple communal setting for remembering loved ones. Planted with an appealing variety of shrubs, this peaceful area offers families a shared space for reflection and remembrance.
Ashes may be gently buried loosely within this communal garden, accompanied by a discreet plaque to honour each individual’s memory. Designed specifically as a community memorial, this bed is thoughtfully maintained by the caring team at Maldon Fields, offering families a comforting alternative when an individual plot isn’t necessary.
This option fosters a sense of shared remembrance and belonging within the tranquil beauty of the gardens.
Rose Beds
Our Rose Beds offer an elegant way to honour the memory of your loved one. Situated beautifully at the heart of the Orchard Garden, this communal bed of carefully tended rose bushes creates a peaceful and serene place for quiet contemplation.
Each rose bush can be individually marked with a memorial plaque or a rose post with the gentle option of loosely burying ashes alongside. This provides a personal yet simple tribute, blending delicate beauty with meaningful remembrance in a shared, tranquil setting.
